On the 21st of November, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had fired a new hypersonic capable intermediate range ballistic missile. The missile was fired from Kapustin Yar and hit Ukraine’s Dnipro city. Multiple warheads were seen hitting targets across Dnipro. The Oreshnik’s capabilities include deploying Multiple Independently Targetable Reentry Vehicles or MIRV over a designated zone, with the MIRV warheads achieving Hypersonic speeds. Putin’s missile attack came after US President Joe Biden allowed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to use ATACMS to strike deep inside Russia. Similarly, UK PM Keir Starmer also allowed Ukraine to use Storm Shado missiles to Strike Russian assets inside Russia.
