The microphones that I will be comparing are the ElectroVoice RE20, the Shure SM57 and a replica of a Neumann U47.
The EV RE20 is a fantastic dynamic microphone that is one of the industry standards for broadcast and voice over work.

In the test I will be speaking into each microphone, then singing and finally guitar. The singing will be recorded three times, once just acapella then with instrumentals behind and finally I will mix the vocals to get the best out of each microphone,

I am playing my homemade Fender Telecaster which I built myself, running it into a Hughes & Ketner Tubemeister 18 through an orange 1x12 cabinet.
