This lucky, little fella was spotted by a woman, while driving on a busy Southern California freeway. She was able to safely pull over and grab him. Nursing cats often hide their babies in/around the engine compartment of vehicles... because of the warmth and thinking it's safe. This is how so many kittens end up in the middle of our streets and highways.

I'm calling him Freeway for now and he'll soon be fully vetted and ready for adoption through 2TheResQ on AdoptaPet and Petfinder in Sherman Oaks, CA.

*Side Note: Helmet was given his name by his first foster family... after Dark Lord Helmet from the film, Spaceballs. LOL
