M15: "MOVE OVER DEAR, ITS DADDY'S TURN!" 11.24.24 SWFL EAGLES~ NEST OF M15 & F23

Have you ever noticed how eager the best Daddy Bald Eagles are during nesting season? They are so funny and cute to watch! From the first egg being laid to feeding their offspring, they sure love Daddy duty!

Watch this example, as M15 comes down after 10pm last night to "relieve" Mom. Although I don't think F23 felt she needed relief at that moment and was quite content napping... until M15 started making his way down to pressure her into letting him take over. "Go ahead Dear, take a break and stretch your legs..." He digs around her, he gives her tender beakies then as soon as she gives him an inch, he dives right in.

F23 moves up to perch on the veranda then gives herself a nice preening session and grooms her feathers. M15 tucks himself in and gets cozy.❤

Dad's always get a little tease when the Mom's give in "temporarily" but they always return and reclaim their throne for the night. Dad's job is standing guard overnight but they're so sweet, they're usually eager and willing to take a night shift too.

M15 is the best Daddy and earned himself Father of the Year in 2023 when he successfully raised two young eaglets on his own after Mom mysteriouly went missing at roughly 30yrs old. E21 & E22 were the last of their offspring together. F23 has proven herself an amazing mate and mother with a little guidance from a pro. ❤

So grateful for the opportunity to watch a second nesting season with this pair.
