Jackie was in full prep mode yesterday morning! After she tested out the comfort level of the nest bowl by pancaking herself down, Jackie decided to go shopping! You'll see exactly why she gets the nickname Lumber Jackie from Fobbv.

Within a few minutes, she was back with a stick delivery. She's a quick shopper! However, she wasn't quite satisfied with just the one stick, so she hopped up to the back porch and began window shopping around the neighborhood. We got a great closeup treat of our beautiful Lumber Jackie too.

She seemed to spot something in the distance and flew off again returning just minutes later but this time her new piece of furniture was nearly half of a tree! It was so huge that it got caught on the way in. She had to use her brute strength and size to lift, tug and pull that huge branch all over that nest! And boy did she!! Over there, then over here, no wait, maybe over there... Noooo...

Shadow sure picked one strong lady who is as equally obsessed with sticks and mini trees as he is. She even used her feet to karate stomp the branch when it wouldn't cooperate just like he does. They are so perfect for each other.

I think he's going to love it. I'm sure she knows it too.

NOTE: The sound and live stream were glitching a bit and you might have noticed the live stream went down this afternoon sometime but rest assured, the professionals perform routine camera maintenance in the Fall at the offsite, remote location where the equipment is located (away from the nest).
