How to add budget ls swap style that anyone can afford. It's time to install the accessory brackets on my LS Swap 1949 Chevy. I'm utilizing my original brackets and components and want to add a little unique style to them. I accomplish by cleaning and degreasing them and painting them all in a satin black finish. All components get painted even the alternator housing and tensioner body. I'm shooting for a clean appearing engine compartment with no chrome or polished parts at all. Almost all under hood parts will be painted in a satin black finish including the valve covers which I paint with a satin black textured wrinkle finish. I accomplish all this style on a very small budget with only a few cans of paint. To make the accessory setup reliable I did have to purchase a new belt tensioner and new serpentine belt which is highly recommended at this point in the rebuild process. I'm super happy with the finished product it has style and that clean look but at a small budget.
