Speaking of Tempranillo, you might know the grape more coming from Rioja. The regions are relatively close to one another in NorthCentral Spain. However the major differences you'll taste is that Ribera del Duero tends to have a riper, darker fruit flavor with blackberry and even black currant notes.

This is a great wine for enthusiasts of Cabernet Sauvignon and presents an amazing alternative.
