Leaf springs for Drag Racing can and do work!

While not as popular as a coilover spring setup, the leaf spring rear suspension with Caltracs or ladder bars or Assassin bars definitely can launch a drag car or truck and make some impressive times!

This video discusses running a splitmono leaf spring, with rear slider and Caltracs by Calvert Racing or running a rear axle housing floater kit with splitmono leafs, rear slider and ladder bars or 4 link bars. I also discuss how to add bite with caltracs or remove bite. Eliminating wheel hop is key with leaf springs. The real decision if you choose to stay with leaf springs and not convert to coilovers is running a Caltrac setup or going with ladder bars or 4 link.
