Jackie was relaxing on the front porch watching over her territory for quite some time when an uninvited guest arrived. Oh boy, how Jackie's head swung around so quick and her body holding steady like a statue, I'm not sure the bird knew it was trespassing in front of the property owner! Lucky for the cute Lil birb, Jackie, the huge danger bird, wasn't in the mood to waste her energy chasing it away.

Later, Shadow returned to work on some nestkeeping with his lady. Now that was good enough to get Jackie up and at'em again. She peers over Shadow's shoulder as he moved a few of her tiny twigs around and then heads on over to the side balcony to perform her routine maintenance. This time she finally breaks off one of the pieces she's been working on over summer. Once she's content with that task, she jumps back down to work on the bole again. ‍♂‍♀

After roughly 10 minutes, Shadow calls it a night and then heads out to their favorite Roost tree for the night. Jackie took the cue and followed him right after. I just love how he comes to collect her in the evenings when she's been there for a long time. Jackie spent over 3 hours at the nest that day!
