With the announcement made this week that Toyota will return to Formula 1 in a technical partnership with the Haas team, many questions were left in the air, with one of them being whether Toyota plans something bigger for the future, perhaps fully acquiring the Haas team, or becoming a main sponsor in the style that Alfa Romeo did in past seasons, acquiring the rights to the Sauber team.

So, when asked about this possibility, we had divergent answers from both parties, with Haas stating that for now the partnership will be only technical, and Toyota will not be in the team's name or have any control over the team, but made it clear that after the end of the contract with the team's current sponsor, they can resume talks and Toyota can indeed have a larger stake in Haas.
