A review of my experience installing the Mac Studio. I take a look at the specs compared to the Mac mini and MacBook Pro M1 and MacBook Pro 2016. Noise has been flagged as a potential issue so I test the noise from the Mac Studio and compare to an external Hard Drive and my old Mac Pro 2012. I also compare the speed Mac Studio vs MacBook Pro vs MacBook 2016 vs Mac Pro 2012 (which is almost exactly the same speed as the 2016 MBP)

Take homes...
► I'd rather have bought the Mac mini for £1000 less but it doesn't have enough ports only 2 USB and 2 TB3
► You're paying for the ability for someone else to upgrade most upgrades are only available at the point of sale so if you want to do something later... tough
► Its almost 4x the speed of my Mac Pro 2012 and MacBook Pro 2016
► Its not silent but quiet enough
► I'm glad I've got it but wish I had £1000 left in my account
► Essentially I paid about £1000 for extra TB3 slots... insane!
► Hopefully give me years of faithful service
