It begins with the Dry Season — the arrival of the tradewinds. Drawn across Indonesia each year by the retreating monsoon, the southeast trades turn a thousand surf spots into windblown gold. Surfers from all over the world arrive with the wind, turning the chain into one of surfing’s great crossroads. This year was no exception — yet like every year, 2024’s dry season had its own unique shape and size.
