India Marks 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas; PM Modi Says "Pakistan Has Not Learnt Any Lesson"
India celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Kargil War today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the 1999 war at the Kargil Memorial in Ladakh. He remarked that Pakistan has not learned from its defeat and continues to shelter terrorists. Prime Minister Modi emphasised that the soldiers' sacrifice for the nation is immortal and will always be commemorated through Kargil Vijay Diwas. He also inaugurated the project for the construction of the Shinkun La tunnel. Meanwhile, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also paid tribute to the soldiers at the National War Memorial in Delhi.
