I CONVERTED YOUR APPLE DAPPLE CAKE TO GLUTEN FREE | Subscriber Recipe Remake

A big thank you to Brenda for emailing me her Apple Dapple Cake Recipe. It was not gluten free so I converted it over to a gluten free recipe and cut the recipe down to about half.

When converting recipes, the pros say you should only change one or two things at most. With this recipe I ignored that whole thought process but this recipe came out really good! The texture of the cake and apples came out perfect. The cake is moist. Most importantly, the cake tasted good and NOT gluten free!

Ingredients:
Cake Ingredients:
• ¼ Neutral Oil of Choice
• ¼ Apple Sauce
• 1 Cup Sugar
• 2 Eggs, Room Temperature
• 1 ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
• ½ Cup Buttermilk, or Add 1 ½ tsp White Vinegar or Lemon Juice to a measuring cup and add enough milk to make ½ Cup. Stir and let sit for 510 minutes
• 1 ½ Cup GlutenFree All Purpose Flour With Xanthan Gum, I used Bobs Red Mill
• ½ tsp GlutenFree Baking Powder
• ¼ tsp Baking Soda
• 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
• 1 ½ Cups Apples, Peeled and Chopped
• ½ Cup Pecans or Walnuts, Chopped
Glaze Ingredients:
• 1 ½ Tbs. Butter, Salted or Unsalted
• 3 Tbs. Brown Sugar
• 1 Tbs. Milk, Half and Half or Heavy Cream
• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
• ⅛ Ground Cinnamon
