In honour of International Women's Day, this week I tried something quite different for my channel. The full poem is below. I felt passionate about this, and wanted to inspire others to feel excited and determined to be a change in our world. I hope you enjoy this video. I Am A Woman By Kat Burns

I am a woman
give me the courage to roar
to leap forward into this uncertain world
and seek opportunity
when it doesn't seek me

to open all the doors left ajar

I am a woman.
Let me speak my mind, my thoughts, my words.
Let them sing to you
Let them resonate
Let them be reflected upon.

I am a woman
there will be hurdles and mountains
but I'll jump and I'll climb
I will scrape my fingers to the bone
to reach the summit

I may not be smiling
but I'll be thriving
My heart will be open and beating and I will have done it.

Triumphed.
Prevailed.

When the ship had all but sailed.

We are women
together we have power
let's increase our choices

We are women

if we all raise our voices
