In the video we show you how to control the tophalf of your outlet with a switch, and how to have constant power on the bottomhalf of the same outlet. For us, we need this single outlet to power a dishwasher, and a garbage disposal.
The dishwasher need access to constant power supply, but the garbage disposal doesn't. So in this video we show you how to accomplish this task.

Older houses tend to have less electrical outlets, so sometimes during remodels you need to make do with what you have. Of course, you may want to check your local building codes for guidance.
