Left untreated, the fresh water system can develop bacteria or mold. Although we don't drink the water from our water tank, the water system in our Escape Trailer 21 is overdue for cleaning. Most of the experts say it should be sanitized every 6 months or so and ours hasn't been cleaned in 2 years! So, in this video, we show you how to sanitize your RV water system using a small amount of bleach and a lot of water. This process includes turning off the hot water heater and putting it into bypass mode, then adding the diluted bleach and water into the RV water tank, running it through all the faucets, and then letting it sit for a few hours before flushing the system multiple times with water.
