2022 UPDATE: We made this video a couple of years ago when polarity adaptors either weren't readily available or were very expensive. If your RV says it's "solar ready," what does that mean and where do you begin? Check out this video to find out how to install whatever brand of solar powered system you want despite what the sticker on your RV says. In this video we show how to reverse the polarity of the solar input plug. This is no longer necessary, but it's worth watching to see what we're accomplishing. Now, with a quick polarity converter adapter in connection with an SAE to MC4 adapter, you'll be able to use the sun to power your RV and will be able to leave that noisy gas generator at home.

Even if you have solar panels on the roof of your RV, you still might want to have a portable panel on the ground. This way you can keep you camper in the shade to keep it cooler during the summer months, and still collect solar power. Check out our other videos to learn more about solar installations.
