It's important to check your pet for ticks regularly, especially if you are enjoying the great outdoors or live near a water source. Unfortunately, only 510% of dogs show symptoms of Lyme Disease so it’s important to proactively check your pet and use flea and tick preventatives yearround.
To check a dog for ticks, start by rubbing your hands through your dog’s entire body and check for any bumps. Then pull the hair back to see the skin. Don’t forget to check the ears, armpits, groin, and between toes.
