Der Horten Nurflügler ist ein bekanntes Projekt des 3.Reiches. Es wurde nur ein flugfähiger motorisierter Prototyp gebaut und ein unmotorisierter Segler zur Erprobung des Profils. Diverse weitere befanden sich in der Bauphase. Dadurch, dass nur wenige Flüge mit dem Prototyp durchgeführt wurden (Erstflug 2. Februar 1945) ranken sich zahlreiche Mythen um das Flugzeug. Very nice model of the Horten H IX (also: Ho 229) flying wing. The transparent tubes at the nozzles of the impeller are necessary, according to the builder, otherwise the model would be unstable in flight.
The Horten flying wing is a well known project of 3.Reich. It was only one flyable prototype built motorized and nonmotorized gliders to test the profile. Various other were in the construction phase. The fact that only few flights were done with the prototype (first flight February 2, 1945) is the reason for many myths around the aircraft.
