1955 Imperial: the official car of mostly looking like a Chrysler New Yorker, and sharing the same drivetrain, but actually being completely different to an almost pointless degree. In fact, there is much to be said about the Imperial. There are even more differences from the similar Chrysler that I didn't cover in the video, which I guarantee we'll hear about from the experts in the comments. For example, the wheelbase is 4 inches longer than the Chrysler car. Also, the Chrysler name was removed from the Imperial for '54, but the first Imperial to be registered as an individual make was this fantastic car in 1955. Perhaps we'll cover more unique Imperial history in a future video. For now, I would like to answer one pressing question... can I coax that glorious, gigantic 331 Hemi under the hood into making Hemi noises for the first time in three decades?
