As is the norm, we hear Antali coming in well before we see him arrive! He's fishcalling, lands and vacillates between just watching and waiting, then fishcalling...
Then it happens! Clearly he sees somebirdy heading his way and he gets all excited. Then we get a treat it's our beloved Iris! She bestowed him his breakfish yesterday, Dad gave him lunch and now we see, Mom gave him supper!
So she gifts her boy w/a lovely sized live fish. We see him very noisily wrangle his prize and he simply MUST tell the world to KEEP AWAY! =D My goodness, how he went on and on and ON! I kept thinking just eat already! Lol. He's even squawking w/fish on his tongue for goodness' sake! LOLOL.
Man, he's a sketch! He was dropping bites and if he seems more savage than usual it's bec he IS! It's the internal hyperphagia kicking in = a strong need to gorge, eat as mush as possible, as often as possible, as fast as possible! It's this automatic occurrence within premigratory birds and so yes, in this way he is def more savage about food!
FINALLY, he quiets down and starts eating in earnest. After doing that for a time, he inexplicably stops eating, returns to vocalizing then jets on outta there. He had decided to go finish his fish elsewhere.
(Lovely treat to see Iris twice yesterday, but I've yet to see her today...)
~Thanks for watching!
