Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt is the location of Cairo International Airport and it is considered the center of the New Egypt area. Heliopolis is also considered the place where the wealthy Egyptians tend to live, especially when it comes to the area surrounding the Baron Palace.

Around the are of the Baron palace, you might find some outstanding buildings as well, these go back to important characters in the old times but which mostly now belong to the Egyptian Military or else are used as a presidential guest house.

This area is too close to the airport, only 10 minutes away by car, the problem comes when there are traffic jams in Salah Salem street, which is considered the most famous. It is interesting to see things that hold mythical stories behind such as the case with Al Baron palace which is closed to the public. This place is referred to as the house of ghosts or the house of horror due to the different sounds of furniture moving at night or else the lights that flash inside the tower that happen at night and which were even seen by those residents who are living around the palace.
