Gorey Tripods of Horror War Of The Worlds Tripods Explained: The Edward Gorey Tripod is a video by pupbenny about this subject. Edward Gorey was an American artist that did the illustrations for a 1960 new release special edition book of H. G. Wells The War Of The Worlds. Gorey's Tripods in the drawings are some of the most creepy versions ever and he delves into the horror aspect of HG Wells story. These pictures and their depiction of the Martian Tripod Fighting Machines is one of the most iconic versions and are still very fondly remembered today. They're really quite advanced creations from the civilization of Mars and are nothing like what human technology can develop, at least to that degree of advancement. Even the 3D models I made I found very difficult to rig and control properly lol. This is noticable in the video and images I think, the legs bent and twisted in odd ways I found difficult to control making them look kind of weird. Of course, presumably if I'd spent more time on it I could've done it better. Those tentacles are hard to control!!

There HG Wells The War Of The Worlds, including The War Of The Worlds 1953 film, The Great Martian War 19131917, Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds and even Steven Spielberg's 2005 War Of The Worlds starring Tom Cruise as well as many indie games and art and war of the worlds games have included direct adaptions of this tripod. I found a War Of The Worlds game that's a nice adaption and it certainly makes a nice change from FOX's War Of The Worlds and the BBC's War Of The Worlds that we've gotten lately. The War Of The Worlds 1913 game is a worthwhile, fun and nicely stylised adaption of H G Wells The War Of The Worlds.20:42 02/09/2023 14,354
