Her first suggestion is to have a funeral and grieve for and bury the mother (or fantasy mother) who you never had, because she does not exist. This will lead to you being able to develop a relationship with your natural mother even if she did not meet your expectations, and to being able to allow God, and other women to meet your real needs for acceptance and affirmation.
