My daughter and I started the tradition 7 years ago of getting a mountain Christmas tree with our Akbash and Akbash/Great Pyrenees Guardian dogs. We've had so much fun over the years doing it this way, and so the tradition continues! This year was extra special because our tightly bonded family pack has accepted a new dog, a rescue that we named Barnabas into our family. This is Barnabas's first Christmas and his first time being a part of our sled dog team. Leading up to the big day here, Barnabas has helped me run packages down to our mailbox both on a leash and in harness, and he has once been mentored by our biggest dog, David on how to pull a sled while getting our spring water for drinking from the mountain (you can find that video in our video Shorts). I'm so proud of him, and all of them. We do this because it's a fun teambuilding exercise for us all. These dogs are a part of our forever family with a relationship built upon trust and love. I hope you can see the dogs smiling with twinkles in their eyes as that's what I see. Merry Christmas everyone from our pack to yours.
