Did The Warriors Make A MISTAKE Not Trading Podz?...

In this video, I'm going to discuss whether or not the Warriors made a mistake by making the decision to not trade Podz who is coming off a great rookie season. Brandin Podziemski is one of the main pieces of the Golden State Warriors future. Out of all the young players on the Warriors, Podziemski was able to produce on many different levels once he became a consistent rotational player. Steve Kerr, the head coach of the Golden State Warriors fell in love with what he saw from Podz on the court that he even felt comfortable closing with him down the stretch of some close games last season.

Despite a ton of great news about Podz's potential and production as a player for this team, the Warriors finished this season in an underwhelming fashion. Which has resulted in the front office looking around the league and trying to upgrade the roster to get closer to championship contenders. In order for that to happen, Podz is likely one of the valuable assets that the Warriors possess in order to make any kind of substantial moves. A trade discussion broke out to the public that the Warriors front office was going to pursue Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen at all costs. After weeks of negotiation, the only dilemma that stood in the Warriors' way was Brandin Podziemski. Danny Ainge, the GM for the Utah Jazz, made it clear that the only way the trade can be executed in the Warriors' direction is by including Podz in the trade deal.

However, even though it seems very clear that the main priority with the Warriors is maximizing Steph Curry's last few years as a superstar, the Warriors' refused to surrender Podziemski to provide that consistent reliable 2nd scoring option for the franchise player. Dubnation has been very vocal about how ridiculous and nonsensical it has been for the front office of the Golden State Warriors' to juggle two timelines between Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and the former Warrior Klay Thompson and the young players. It is apparent that the Warriors' young core has ways to go when it comes to championship contribution as their role was heavily little and insignificant. It is a shame that Steph Curry, at the age of 37 years old, still looks as incredible as ever, playing at a top10 level, will likely have to play around a current roster that is not near championship level.

However, even though fans are not happy with this move despite the delusional asking price from Danny Ainge, as somebody who watched every single Warriors game last season, there are things about Brandin Podziemski that you can remain hopeful and optimistic for even though it may not seem like it right now.
