Ricky busted a gut, singlehandedly beginning the groundworks for the stone cabin's French drain while I (Victoria) was sick. But this week I’m healthy, back on site & raring to get my hands dirty on the little guest house build! It was a busy week with significant progress made to protect our lovely little cottage from some serious damp issues & the prep work done for the interior floor subbase, ready for the exciting next phase of this DIY project! But our cute cabin always has a new surprise in store & this week the ancient construction of the building’s solid granite stone base means a plumbing diversion is required!

We also received some amazing news that we’ve been wishing for, which truly made our week! To top it off there was still time to squeeze in some holiday festive cheer as Victoria crafted a traditional homemade Christmas wreath from foliage gathered from around the farm & we transformed the stone house into a twinkling homestead grotto!
