18 years after his murder, Pramod Mahajan's family believes he was a victim of a "political conspiracy". Speaking on #TheCuriousMiC, Pramod Mahajan's daughter and former BJP MP Poonam Mahajan says that the bullet that was fired on him was his own.

Earlier this year, after two terms as a Lok Sabha MP, Poonam was denied a BJP ticket to contest the 2024 election.
According to her, her mentors include her father, Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi. Interestingly, she regards Devendra Fadnavis as a valued colleague but does not count him among her mentors.

Poonam has fond memories of meeting Balasaheb Thackeray and seeking his blessings before entering politics.

In her childhood, she remembers the grandfatherly affection of stalwarts like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani.
