Nature meditation. Two precocious baby Red Bellied Woodpeckers are watching the world outside their nest box for the first time! They are very close to fledging. They are fascinated with their amazing tongues you'll see some of the best closeups of woodpecker tongues on video! Parents are bringing mostly ripe Mango which is readily available now these babies are living the pampered life. Red Bellied Woodpeckers do peck for insects on trees as most woodpecker do, but they have a taste for fruit, nuts and nectar when available.
