New Mexico police were tipped off about an alleged hitandrun when they encountered the suspected driver boxed in by her boyfriend — a sergeant at their police department. Thirtyyearold Desiree Ortega, whose child was in the back seat of the SUV, soon learned why dating a police officer doesn’t make her untouchable, even after throwing an angry tantrum.
