This video is about the new comet in our October 2024 sky Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan–ATLAS. I'll share some general tips on how to find it from the Northern Hemisphere with the ultimate goal to photograph it.

+++Note to those of you looking for it in the morning+++
I live at 43 degrees north latitude and it's very hard to find if you wait till 30 min before sunrise (based on observations from friends who have been lucky to not have clouds in the way). Try getting on location and setting up in time for when the comet rises. Because the viewing window this far north is very short. Check your planetarium apps for the rise time. For those much further south, the comet should be a bit easier to find because it will be higher in the sky before the sky gets too bright. Good luck!!
