Cole Hamels spent 10 years with the Philadelphia Phillies during his 15 year MLB career and on June 21, 2024, he officially retired as a Phillie. He was honored on Cole Hamels Retirement Night, where former teammates joined him to celebrate his career. Hamels was revered by Philadelphia fans and media members alike the opposite of how he was treated during his time in the city. Throughout his Phillies career, Hamels was often criticized, blamed for the Phillies failures, and met with allaround disdain by many. Years later, Hamels is viewed in a positive light the way he always should've been but this episode of the 4 Aces series dives into his mistreatment.
