The Alaska Raptor Center was one of the highlights of our DIY day in Sitka during our Alaska Cruise in June of 2017. It was located about 1 1/2 mile away from the Harrigan Centennial Hall where our cruise shuttle had dropped us off, so it was a short taxi ride There we got to see many birds of prey including red tail hawk, numerous bald eagles, a pair of cute little owls (one was a northern sawwhet owl & the other was a pygmy owl), and a horned owl.
