Seven basenjis gathered on a mostlyfemale summer morning in Washington Square Park in New York City. Six females led the way, and Kepler, the senior, and only male, tried to keep up. Bella Luna (yearling,) was the youngest female. The others were Gaia (twoyearsold,) Rhubarb (fouryearsold,) Mia (sevenyearsold,) Scout (sevenyearsold,) and Calla (nineyearsold.)
