Episode 3 of 4 of the amphibious canoe build and journey across the Scottish Highlands via the Great Glen Canoe Trail along the Caledonian Canal.
Stability was always going to be a challenge with such a high seating position. I am very glad I made the decision to take the outriggers as a backup! It took three full days (two full, two half days) to travel the 60 miles across the Scotland.
In the next episode I will attempt the return journey on land back to Fort William via the Great Glen Way.
An improved version of this prototype (Pedal Paddle MK3) will be offered for sale via commission. Head over to https://www.benkilner.com'>https://www.benkilner.com for a registration form and I will be in touch when there are slots available.
