The video opens with Beau bringing a stick to the nest and placing it. He is watching as Gabby comes in with a big pile of grass in her talons. They both are watching something up high in the nest tree or flying overhead. Beau will fly off and return with a big stick and as he approaches Gabby he lets it go and it lands right on her back! Nestorations such as bringing in sticks, grass, moss are a form of eagle courtship. This working together to build a nest is an important part of the bonding process that takes place before mating and egg laying. Beau & Gabby have been working on the nest for weeks and now we see a successful mating on the nest! Beau seems to really like mating on the nest and has worked on his performance as we see here today! Gabby has been agreeable to mating on the nest she was not liking it at first but she has accepted Beau and his pwn style of courtship! ♥ Mating does not mean that eggs are going to be laid in a few days. But it is a good sign of things to come for December & perhaps eggs by Christmas! ♥ Thank you for watching!
