A MIGHTY Sailboat That Does It ALL! The Nor'Sea 27 can be trailered and sailed around the WORLD. And at $28,500, Canadian Ken and I think she's a pretty great deal. Designed by the late, great, Lyle Hess, this pocket cruiser was designed to not only be trailered to destinations to be explored, it can also sail around the world. A number of them have. At least one has even ventured around Cape Horn. They are a cult classic and 450 were made by Nor'Sea Marine in Dana Point, CA. They closed their doors in 2019, but these mighty mites live on and are beloved by their owners. IOTA, this Nor'Sea 27 has had three owners and she has said from Florida to Maine and has even spent some time in fresh water up in Lake Champlain in Vermont. She has been kept in wonderful condition with her original gelcoat intact. IOTA is the aft cabin model (which we ended up loving) and has everything you need to start your sailing adventures now. She is ideal for a solo sailo, a couple, or small family. With an overall length of 31feet (including the bowsprit), a beam of 8 feet (ideal for the trailering aspect), and a draft of only 3.5 feet, she is deal for gunkholing, coastal cruising, or going farther afield across oceans. We simply loved this versatile sailboat!

[Note: two people with a boom truck can step and unstep the mast. Though with the right block and tackle it could probably be done without a boom truck!]
