Patches was surrendered to Richmond Animal Care & Control by his former owners. They said they could no longer care for him. The staff was shocked. He weighed 42 pounds, more than twice his ideal weight. The poor thing could barely walk! With his new owner, Kate, Patches began his journey to a new, healthy life. And one year later, Patches had lost 17 pounds! What a great result! And this is just the begining.
