From the time Jesus established His church in 33 A.D., local congregations of believers have been established throughout the world, including Kokomo, In.

On October 8, 1944, a group held its first meeting in Kokomo at Memorial Hall. Ten people attended. This group later found a dilapidated grocery store building at 1217 South Courtland Avenue and converted it into a meeting house. It was heated with a potbellied stove. Though the building has seen its changes, the Bible doctrine taught by the Lord's church remains the same.

We look back in thanks to those who have made this congregation what it is today and look ahead in hope to those who will help define what the future holds for the Courtland Avenue church of Christ.
