Hi, my name is Arda, I'm AmericanTurkish. I lived in the United States for 40 years. However, I moved to sunny Antalya Turkey. The city of Antalya allows cats & dogs to roam free. The municipality provides minimal food, shelter and medical care. Myself & 67 neighbors are helping a few dogs and a fluctuating number of 6070 cats. We also help any other cats & dogs further away when we can.

Our expenses: We neuter females, yearly vaccinations, parasite medications, testing for disease, canned, dry, cooked food, treats, cat houses, carriers, blankets, bowls, brushes, phosphorescent safety collars, necessary tooth removal and medical procedures.

The cats at Akra Hotel are provided food & medical care by the staff. I only provide these cats with love and some food.

This adds up when dealing with as many cats as we are. It has left us with difficult decisions as to how much each cat's life worth when medical expenses come up. "Mercy is the most beautiful thing in the world."
