I want proof that someone (me!) can go from having never made art, to making great art. I want proof that I am not "less than" my creative heroes!!! Exclamation marks!!

My whole life I've been super passionate about art (especially music), and all my heroes are creatives. But creativity is a daunting field, and I've always felt like "I guess I'm not special like them". So I spent 10 years in STEM bioengineering Master's degree, programming, internal ops at startups, etc

But, I'm now 28, and my passion for art has been the only constant in my life. And my heroes were terrible once too! Kendrick Lamar had a bunch of average mixtapes before getting really good. David Bowie's first album was hot garbage. James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem said he was a failure for 32 years. I'm 28 who's to say I can't make it???

I want to prove my worries and narratives wrong. I want to make myself proud. We're all just people at the end of the day, right? Don't we all have the capacity to be great?
